While we're talking about denim, could you tell me about the differences between the fits? My understanding is

Berlin - straight

Torrence - slim

Detroit - skinny

Memphis - tights

Is this true in general? I hear there's a LOT of variation to Rick denim too, so a Detroit could end up fitting like a Berlin or vice-versa and everything inbetween

nah, there's not really much variation on DRKSHDW cuts [at least not in past few seasons].

berlin - straight & somewhat wide / anti-fit
torrence - longer rise than detroit, still slim/skinny
detroit - lower rise than torrence, skinny

edit: the thing that definitely DOES change every season though is fabrics, which can lead to some confusion on fit [ie - whether spandex blends were an option any particular season or not].

in my somewhat brief experience in the showrooms, you'd think there would be some standard fabrics offered each season, but it seems to change completely each time in the three times i've been so far.

yeah, i think if you work out at all, or don't have a super slim lower block - torrence really is the ultimate balanced skinny jean.

that being said, i still love the detroit lol.

[torrence next time for me]

i literally only wear shorts or prisonners from drkshdw these days, so haven't worn any of the jeans myself in years.

still wearing a five year old pair of acne cash jeans on the regular, lol.

If ordering denim on yoox, just buy as many as you can that are reasonably priced (and honestly, with drkshdw, sizing is a crapshoot so just order up and down and around your size) and then send back what you don't want.

I personally i'm done ordering Rick on Yoox. The last 4 times I ordered the waxed black denim they sent me a pair of waxed black Margiela.

you guys have a lot of bad luck with yoox i think I've ordered 100 items from them without issue

Does anyone have experience with pull on ankle boots like these? Cannot find any product pages/images of these ones with the XL Extralight sole.

I want to make sure the uppers are narrow enough to be worn under slim pants, and am having second thoughts about that. Probably should have just waited for some zipper ones, but these are definitely slimmer than most of the pull on ankle boots I can find pictures of.

don't think any version of that model would fit under slim pants - no pull on boots would really [outside of the drkshdw scuba socks i suppose].

the opening needs to be wide enough to allow your foot to slide in, quite a difficult task really.

which is why, outside of a stretch-fabric opening boot/shoe [à la sock sneak & scuba sock] you're going to get "bucket boot" style openings most often.

Yeah that is what I figured. I really need to do my research before buying things...

Thanks though, any idea what pants to wear those with?

What's the consensus on Sock Ramones sizing? I wear a 42 in Geos, Ramones, and Island Dunks, but have heard these feel a bit bigger due to the stretch.

Also, someone should buy these, $1280 CAD for last season's Socks, size 44 only though: http://www.kokko.me/men-footwear-casual-shoes-rick-owens-leather-shoes-sock-sneaks-ru15f7872-lssp/dp/16247
