Finally finished setting up the tap... Only one beer for now, but this is pretty cool. First beer up is Odell's 90 Shilling.

Bissel kills it; if you can find their cans anywhere buy them up - they tend to have the heady topper effect around here, though you can find Substance at plenty of bars year round.

I finally picked up some of The Substance cans at the brewery a couple of weeks ago. It's so worth trying to get your hands on. I was in Portland on a Wednesday and tried one package/liquor store on Commercial St. The proprietor said he hadn't had The Substance delivered in 14 weeks but suggested I try the brewery direct. I got there at 1230 and picked up some of the last cans they had for sale that day. Kinda cool seeing the sticker indicating they were canned that day (Mar 1). Edited to add: Actually canned the previous day. I was there 3.2.16.

Also ended up with a nice EG 19th Century buttondown on sale from PDG. All in all, a great day! Thanks Dustin!!

Crazy gusher... Filled one glass with head, still foaming out of the bottle, filled second glass with head...

My brother's getting married and it's sunny and... Well, fuck it: don't need an excuse to open a 2007 bottle of 3F Oude Geuze actually...

I've been meaning to get to the expanded Bissel spot on Thompson's Point. A friend of mine from up north has been harassing me to grab him a 4 pack.

instead, I bought a 4 pack of fresh-as-fresh-can-get Rising Tide Printemps, their spring saison. and then i drank it all.

Lots of Portland, ME talk lately. I'm heading up from Boston with friends for the Dinner release in two week.

I now plan my trips to Portland on Wed-Fri when the taproom is open. I ended up shipping six of my allotted twelve cans to my nephew in Indy. Need to pick up more this week.
