I'll agree with @indesertum about the rolled edge- especially on Teku's. It's probably my only complaint with my Hill Farmstead tulips.

Last night, I pretty much lucked into getting to try a long time want - Founder CBS. The last time I went to an event tapping a keg of it - it kicked in like 15 minutes and I wasn't one of the lucky ones to get a glass. This event last night was pretty poorly advertised and at a bar in my neighborhood. Managed to get two pours of it and it was still flowing when I left an hour after they started pouring it. Once it warmed up it was amazing. Good whiff of maple mixed in with your standard bourbon barrel stout on the nose. Definitely sweet taste - chocolate, maple, brown sugar, butter, toffee, fudge. Very thick mouthfeel. Quite the treat and I'm glad I finally got to give it a try. Can definitely see why it's so highly ranked and rated. Here's a crappy picture I took:

Thanks to a timely tip from @ocooney and I happened to be in the city for dinner, I was able to grab a local liquor stores last BCBS Regal Rye.  I had missed out on the variants and was happy to get this one.

Last 'religious' double for now. I liked the Chimay best. Tripels next.

I skipped the Rye. They had 3 bottles left, but I figured I was good with Coffee, Barleywine, and Regular...leave it for someone else in line.

Never had any of the non-regular variants and the Rye was the one I was least interested in...hope I don't regret it.

Drank a couple truly ghastly Suginoyas in Fukuoka the other day (pale and amber ales).

Nothing notable, but I had this bottle today. Pretty smooth for the alcohol content (9.1%)

Won't be necessary anymore: Geers just got 'm in smile.gif

Some recent beers:

Same as the last one of these I had -- interesting, good, but just a bit too sweet. I remember the one I had prior to that one being amazing, but that was way over a year ago. I guess I just sat on the last two for too long:

Not bad, not great, just decent:

I liked this one. Unexpectedly sweet but ultimately enjoyable:

I was really excited to try this one but may have had too high of expectations. I didn't really notice the port barrel aspect, and probably wouldn't have been able to tell it from a Chimay or similar beer if blinded (which isn't a bad thing):

This was fine, not particularly memorable:

Not for me. A super sweet beer with tons of pumpkin pie spice and a solid rum barrel backbone. I can't say I've liked any of Avery's super alcoholic beers yet:

Maui Brewing Big Wave IPA and a Sierra Nevada Chocolate Chili Stout from a student hangout bar near the University of Hawaii. From yesterday...
