New Pick-ups from friday. All the bell's were 6 packs, Goose Island Christmas was a 4 pack. Not pictured is Sierra Nevada Celebration 2011. I've never had either of the Rogue Mogul Madness, or the Racer 5. Local spot said they were out of stock for 8 months, and just got it back in. Was also thinking about picking up a 6 pack of Rogue's Yellow Snow, which I had this late spring at a bar in a Bomber and thought it was good.

Had the Bell's Christmas Ale 2 nights ago and it's pretty good. Nice and light at only 5.5% but still a nice flavor. Not your typical Christmas style as they don't add any spices.
Also tried the Hell Hath No Fury....Ale 3 nights ago. It was decent, it tasted like a little bit lighter version of a barleywine/Dubbel.

Has anyone compared the 2011 Goose Island Christmas to the 2009? Much of a change? My semi-local spot had put out a few bombers of the 09. I thought the 09 was decent when I tried it Halloween weekend.

exactly. Bell's Expedition Stout. I was going to get some in exchange for Marshal Zhukov (which i didn't like that much). Wanted to try more of the Bell's beer and wanted to know if it was good.

Bell's does not distribute to NYC.. Which is why I am stockpiling beers to trade for Hopslam when it comes out.

Thanks!!

I just tried Cigar City Sea Bass. It's a dark farmhouse ale. I thought it was way too sweet and didn't really like it at all. It's the same problem I had with the Stone Escondian Black IPA actually.

I had cigar city for the first time on Wednesday at a tasting. Looks like they're going to start distributing it in Richmond VA I had the brown and the guava saison and cedar stout. All were good.

Have any of you guys tried the Good Gourd (Spelling??) from Cigar City? I just saw it in a store and was considering buying it.

Thanks BDeuce... will be sending a PM with regard to Bell's beers. Not sure if there is anything distributed out here that interests you - but I can send u some stuff in the mail
