Very stoked... My buddy just won gold at GABF for his "Bonobos" strong pale ale. Good dood and good bar/brewery, Monkey Paw.

Selling for $14.99 at the store I saw it at in Denver. Tried it at GABF, it's pretty good, I bought two bottles.

My cousin lives in FoCo and got it for me. But it'snot super allocated or anything, should be an easy trade for something simple like daisy cutter.

Picked up a 4 pack of Founders Harvest Ale last night. Looking forward to trying one tonight. Anyone had? I got the 2nd to last 4 pack at Binny's and a friend of mine raves about it.

Anyway, delivered to mi casa today:

mainline Sam Adams is kind of bland but some of their recent speciality stuff is really good. I liked their Hopology series and the Imperial Stout is awesome.

Speaking of imperial stouts, I had the Samuel Smith's Imperial Chocolate Stout last night. The flavor isn't bad but I found it kind of thin for a chocolate stout. Which is weird because their Oatmeal stout has the perfect texture imo.

Oh they make some really good beers. Double agent IPL, white lantern, and all of their barrel room series stuff is good. Their hopology variety 12pk is good too- its the only way to buy grumpy monk in a bottle around here, which is my favorite SA beer.

Double sunshine tonight.

Founders Harvest Ale is an excellent beer. Very dry but smooth tasting hops. A very faint citrus flavor. Light carbonation. Wish I had more than a 4-pack.

I'm going to be an ass and say I wasn't a big fan of the harvest ale. It was good but not great. I might have to give it another try tho. Maybe my taste is weird tho cuz I liked cerise. Been wanting to try rubaeus

Timothy Taylor's Landlord Pale Ale tonight.

I though Rubaeus was lovely, one of the best of the recent wave of craft fruit ales (which, admittedly, as been kind of meh imo. Dogfish Head in particular keeps barking up that tree without really coming up with anything very good.)

Also, I downed a bottle of Wookie Jack tonight while working/posting. Not my first bottle, but just confirmed that it's the best new beer I tried this year.
