Anyone in Dallas needs to try the Lakewood Brewing Imperial Milk Stout. I've had it enough times to say without a doubt that it's the best milk stout I've ever had.

Drinking 4 Calling Birds from the Bruery. Not really my style but pretty decent. Tastes strongly of molasses and spice.

epic fail on the KBS tickets. That site crashed 5 minutes before the thing started

What a joke

All this talk about KBS made me want CBS, but I passed it up for Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout which someone recommended to me. I've had the ale, but not the stout.

KBS = Kentucky Breakfast Stout.

CBS = Canadian Breakfast Stout.

Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout = some beer someone recommended to me. They also make Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale.

... or are you saying I made a bad decision on how to spend $12.99?

I was planning to just let it sit in my fridge and admire the label, but I guess I'll drink it. It's all right. Tons of coffee, not much bourbon. A little lighter body than I'd expect from a high grav aged stout. Definitely won't be revisiting this one... too many better options at that price point.

There's a big difference between KBS/CBS and the other Kentucky Whatever's. the Ale isn't too bad. Never had the stout.

At least the bourbon comes through in the ale. This just takes like a cup of cold coffee.

Ended up getting tickets for KBS Wednesday for me and the girl. Took 1 hour 45 but we got them

There's this store near me that looks like a crappy bodega (complete w/ bulletproof glass around the cash register area) and has a super generic name (___ Food & Beverage) but is actually a sweet craft beer store (with a small wine selection, too).
