Its worse when you buy online then trade and send your own box with fedex imo. I usually ship out 12-pints/bombers to chi for 18 bucks from boston.

just drank upright brewing captian beefheart.

Made with charred beef hearts

from their site

"Captain Beefheart is a collaborative brew between Jason McAdam of Burnside Brewing and Alex Ganum of Upright, both of whom can be described as meat enthusiasts. The idea behind Captain Beefheart was to create a complex beverage with savory flavors rooted in the kitchen. We started with a malty copper colored base and added Turkish bay leaf, long pepper, and sixty pounds of charred beef hearts to the kettle boil. Rounding it all out was a fermentation carried out by a soft finishing Scottish ale yeast. The beer drinks with pleasant aromatics from the spices and has a light minerality accentuated by the pound of salt also thrown in the kettle. 5.85%"

That sounds like one of the most unique beers I have ever heard of. I'll have to try and track that down. How was it?

Beer was quite delicious. I would certainly recommend.
Wasnt overtly beefy, just a nice savory flavor, like a post roast meal aftertaste?

the fucking nerve of this company (letspour.com)...following up on my previous post here:

- 1/29 Order ships
- 1/30 My refund is $5 short, so I email them
- 1/31 They email me back, confirming that they made a mistake in issuing the refund. They then have the gall to ask if I want the refund issued as a credit to my account with them - no, I want it back on my credit card!
