Everyday drinking is Murphy's. I always have some in my fridge.

I'd drink Dragon Stout more often if I could find it or Chimay Blue if it were cheaper.

Paulaner Munich Special Lager. Simple, unpretentious, high quality. None of that Belgian sludge for me, thanks.

This weekend I had a Aventinus Dunkel Doppelbock Weizen (by Schneider) for the first time in a long time. One of my all-time favorites: takes all the good things about a double bock and adds the smoothness & quantity (half liter bottle) of unfiltered, yeasty german wheat beer. Major yum.

3 floyds is great. Unfortunately they don't distribute out here, but back in Iowa 3 Floyds was some of my fave go-to brews, especially Alpha King.

My favorite right now is Third Rail Pale Ale, a doulbe IPA made by a local Asheville brewery (The Wedge).

I'd say lately it's been Goose Island Burbon Stout.
Or Surly Furious.

Leinienkugal (god thats hard to spell, even wrong) can't be beat by common beers unless you are a huge fan on dark beer.

Re-experienced Pliny the Elder and tried (for the first time) the Bell's Two-Hearted Ale last night. Cemented what I had known but forgotten -- that Pliny the Elder is probably one of the top five brews on the planet.

Pliny is such a great beer. It is a pain to get on the east coast, but so worth it. I like the 2-hearted too. Want to try more from Bells.

Another great brewery that I need to try more from. Only had the Dreadnaught so far.

I can see why people like GI Bourbon Stout, but it is way too sweet for me to drink a whole 12oz.

James Squires' Amber Ale and Golden Ale are the balls.

Only good thing about Philadelphia -- off the top of my head, I can name three places where I can find it right now.
