Stone Berlin released their Xocoveza yesterday. So I went to Stone today and picked up 24 cans.
After sampling one, of course. Damn, it's good. Tastes like a christmas-y dessert! Especially the first sip. It uses chocolate from a "tree to bar" chocolaterie from Berlin, as well as coffee from Five Elephants (also from Berlin, their coffee is usual 40 €/kg, pretty light roasts fwiw; maybe a custom roast with cheaper beans?). Coffee, chocolate, chili (more of a vegetalish aftertaste?) all noticeable, as well as the vanilla and spices. 2.25 € per can, which is lower than I expected, and a steal compared to regular German craft beers, especially considering the ingredients, but about on par as in the US I guess (Stone IPA is 1.90 €-ish here, fwiw). Also picked up a can of Cali-Belgique IPA (still not a fan) and Ruination IPA (p good).
