A couple from the weekend so far:

Not good.

Too salty.

Nice, but honestly, I thought it tasted a bit thin.

Belgian style triple ipa with citrus you say? Seems a bit of a reach. Fortunately, even at 9% it was ok, primarily tasting like grapefruit (seems like a cheat to be adding that one but whatever) and maybe a hint of old-wworld yeast.

I'm just going to quit trying beers from here. I'm not sure I've ever really loved anything I've had of theirs, and this one was no different. Not impressed.

This... is a treat. Smoke, chilis, bit sweet,... Ridiculously dangerous at 13.2%.

This is one serious stout - massive is an understatement.

I'm gonna be in Boston in two weeks...any recommendations on bars, bottle shops, or breweries I should check out? I will be staying near Fenway and unfortunately won't have a car. Thanks

Totally cheesy and touristy, but I enjoyed the Harpoon brewery tour. It's on the waterfront near the ICA; you should be able to get there by the T. At the end of the tour, you receive a souvenir glass and get let loose in the tasting room, where you can drink as much as you want for 15-20 minutes.

No car necessary. While I haven't lived in Boston for nearly 5 years, and I'm sure someone else here can provide better information, the following are places I liked (in no particular order):
Lord Hobo
Cambridge Brewing Co
Redbones
Publick House
Deep Ellum
Stoddards
Trillium (never been; after my time but people rave about it)
Atwoods Tavern
Meadhall
Nightshift (a bit outside of town)

There are probably a bunch more that I'm forgetting, and I've got no real idea on bottleshops these days. I worked at a place called Charles Street, and it had a great selection for the time, but that's nearly 15 years ago and I don't know how it is now. Fortunately most of the information above isn't quite that dated.

This could also be a helpful reference: http://www.beeradvocate.com/place/city/3/
