I've been looking for that.

Had a going away party for one of my wife's coworkers tonight. Her boss broke out a Westy 12 to share with some of the more beer oriented people, which was a nice gesture.

Holy cow this is weird beer... Murky, dark, bacon, smoke,...

5.2% smoked weizen.

You had me at bacon...

I love the pure version, the pig that is, too much to eat bacon... But that beer does the trick!..

All good - particularly the Espresso Yeti.

Running on no sleep... Bottled 02/ 2015. Fresh version is much better.

Varying degrees of bad...

Retro is skunky and like a cheap English pub beer, Modern slightly better but still quite underwhelming, Cone Crusher marked improvement but nowhere near the recent Mikkeller IPAs I have been trying.

I keep saying I won't buy IPAs because the hit to miss ratio is too low however, when you get a good one it really is something special.

A bit of goodness from Left Hand Brewing (Longmont, CO)!

Solarc's Earl last night--terrific

At the local bougie wine/beer bar, I ordered an IPA I'd never tried before because it had a goofy name. It was perfectly decent and I enjoyed it. Now I learn that it's has a 99 rating on Beer Advocate (http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/13014/138735/), which means it's should be a mindblowingly awesome beer. Iunno, beer geekery is totally weird and eludes me.

I've had several "perfect" (100%) beers that I didn't care for...
