they're really durable and don't really stretch

I disagree to a certain extent. Kangaroo is known for it's durability and pliable nature. It's also very lightweight. In my experience it does stretch no problem

yeah you're probably right - i retract my statement on not stretching. that being said i wouldn't rely on stretching a pair of kangaroo visvims.. buy the right size : )

I had both kngr and kudu Virgil, kudu did stretch a whole lot more than the kngr. Buy your true size anyway.

Studies conducted by the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) confirm that kangaroo is one of the strongest leathers of similar substance available.

Similarly when split into thinner substances kangaroo retains considerably more of the original tensile strength of the unsplit leather than does calf. When split to 20% of original thickness kangaroo retains between 30 to 60% of the tensile strength of the unsplit hide. Calf on the other hand split to 20% of original thickness retains only 1-4% of original strength.

Kangaroo leather is lighter and stronger than the hide of a cow or goat. It has 10 times the tensile strength of cowhide and is 50% stronger than goatskin.

Studies of the morphology of kangaroo leather help explain its particular properties

oof dont mean to rehash the footwear sizing discussion, but as someone who wears a 42 in MMM and CPs, and 10 in nikes, is it safer to go with 9 or 10s in the virgil boot?

Wanted to share this little project with you guys. Took a Albacore damaged shirt with moleskin patches and swapped them out with vintage african indigo fabric. I'm really happy with the result. The shirt itself is amazing - by far one of my favorite pieces.

I was reading this in my email notification and thought, oh no. Disaster. I remembered this seasons denim Albacore shirts which, in my opinion are as spectacular as ever. Then I saw your pics and really think this alteration looks awesome. Good job! Looks like a very fun shirt.

I have to say, whenever I see Visvim clothing, it really fascinates, it is usually that good. The feel, the fabric, the construction is quite something. Then I see the price tag and I pass out. So many stellar pieces today at Union's trunk show. We talk a lot about the shoes (naturally) but I love the clothing. Since I am not a fan of EG winter stuff this season as it is too substantial for LA, time to get into Visvim? But boy, @Fycus, I need a lot of help to get up to speed and your fit pics look spectacular ...

Man, I think those brigadiers look really good.  Might have to get a pair.  Which one is that?  Camel?  Is it suede?

Also, anyone know if those "hilt" boots will be made for men next year, or did that ss15 trunk show include the women's line?

Brigadier boots are the fw13 camel pair. Hilt boots are wmv only, no rumored release for mens or anything. Honestly the brigadier has a very similar last compared to the hilt, probably will look the same on.
