if there is a difference in the thickness of the hoodie between SS and FW seasons if both are on 100% cotton. I would assume the latter would use a thicker cotton I supposed?

Someone else might know for sure but I have never noticed much difference SS/FW regarding sweatshirt fabric weight. Different years have different fabrics but I don't think it's tied logically to the temperatures. I had some nice amplus hoodies a while back that were breezy and had a towel-like interior feel (Terry?) but I'm pretty sure those were FW.

Also, I personally wouldn't spot clean the mud dye and definitely wouldn't use any kind of stain remover or harsher chemical.

I machine wash cold water with just regular laundry soap and hang dry. Worked for 6 years on some dk mud corduroys I had and then one day they were ruined by some kind of residual soap concentrate or bleach in the washing machine that only affected the mud dye. It is dirt after all which many soaps aim to remove.

Thanks. This is what I just tried. Seems to have worked, but we’ll see. Mainly hope it’s not quite so noticeable, lest I just have to go with the previous mantra of “OVVND.”

Is there a sales thread? I got some Virgil boots to offload (in black and size 10) and prefer to do so on the forum.

Has anyone else noticed that their mud dyed items have a unique smell? I just got an amplus SB in dark mud and it has a peculiar metallic smell like blood or old copper pennies that is exactly the same as my old dark mud corduroy pants. It's not bad just... interesting. Non-mud-dyed items don't have it.

Yup, noticed this on my mud dyed amplus crewneck. Subsequent washes dull the smell a little, but it certainly still smells odd as you described.

Does anyone know what the JP retail was for the Rawly vest? Also is it signed?

Mine is not signed/serialized - normal tags are in the pocket because it's reversible. US MSRP is $5650 but I was talking to the guy at FIL Omotesando about it and I believe he mentioned it was around $4000 equivalent in JPY?

Cheers for this. Good to know. How do you find the sizing compared with iris vests or similar?

I typically wear 3-4 and I went with a 3 in the Rawly and it fits comfortably over a hoodie. I would say it is oversized as all their outerwear has tended to be recently. I would take your normal size and not go up/down. I haven't had the iris but I preferred this over the Strabler/Kora because it's not down filled so not as bulky. I like mine a lot.

Has anyone washed and dried their tunics in a washing machine/drier? I'm trying to get a sense for shrinkage and sensitivity to just throwing it in the drier as I do most of my cut and sew pieces.

Made the mistake of spot cleaning an oil stain with oxy clean on a crash tee in black. It left the area worse off and discolored.
