I just bought a nice pair of jeans labeled Seven jeans. They have a big yellow loop on the back pocket. They fit me great, have a nice dark color and are pretty darn comfortable. Fitted and comfortable works for me. The pockets are unusually small, but otherwise, they're great.

Are Seven and Seven For All Mankind different companies? Are Seven jeans a subsidiary of Express? I heard the latter, but don't know for sure as I went to Seven's website and it's not even up.

Seven is a brand established to piggy-back off the popularity of 7FAM, kinda like" Polo Assn. of USA" or whatever it's called.

I was under the impression that Seven were those cheap girl jeans they sold at Mervyn's.

They had them here in Australia too, sold at a cheap jean chainstore.

I think a number of poor sods fell for it thinking they were the same as SFAM. Surprisingly, the $200 difference didn't seem to clue them in.

i actually think that 'seven' was around before '7fam'
i think 'seven' was initially an italian denim label that started in the mid-60s? before the name was bought by the current american manufacturer

I believe the OP is correct, Seven was the a brand of jeans carried by Express. I'm not sure why Express chose to brand their denim as something other than Express, but they did. Not sure on which came first.

I see some people have been drinking the hater ade. The jeans fit me to a t, look fantastic, and after a couple months, I see zero durability issues. Meanwhile, my friend's nudies are wearing out fast, and he's going to have to replace a pair after just six months.

Express carries it ($50-70) and Mervyn's lowers it ($20-30) as far as my googling information goes.
