Agreed. In my opinion, GBV doesn't look good with many of the brands that EG does. Wearing a GBV flannel / shirt with EG, Needles, Orslow, Post O'alls, Beams +, Sassafras etc. just seems slightly off to me. I think this is because Gitman isn't necessarily trying to appeal to the typical E.G. crowd. While there are definitely shirts out there of similar quality and price as E.G. I think it ultimately comes down to the style you are attempting to achieve.

Tonio - If I have some time later I will get some of my photos. In the meantime the FW14 look book has two very accurate shots of the E1 pant. (Not very savvy at posting pics so hopefully you can dig these up)

Page 6 - Khaki 14W corduroy

Page  24 - Grey Herringbone

Of note, the Khaki corduroy is styled with a boot that hits higher + pant tucked in vs. the grey herringbone is with a lower profile shoe sans socks. Shows how the pants work with differing footwear choices.

So far I wore mine with some Yuketen Johnson boots, Alden chukkas, and low Vans. Pics to come.

I suspected as much. There are always 1 or 2 Gitman patterns I really like every year, but I like thick and sturdy for Fall/Winter. I bought a Wings and Horns flannel last Fall and couldnt get into it. I wound up returning.

Just got the brown homespun ghurka pants in. Gutted, but as I guessed they are too big in the waist. Would be tempted to tailor but the waistband isn't split. If anybody is interested in a size 34 (TTS) before I return to the bureau. Let me know!

If you see how the Ghurka pants fit in the lookbook, they definitely sized up in the waist. (I think this is the right picture; if not, the lookbook fit is similar):

Unless you plan on tucking something into them, it could work. Just a thought.

I usually size up on slim fit pants and just use a belt and tighten it a bit more.

Wish I had the cash right now Fycus, I'd totally take them off your hands.

Nepenthes Japan posted the majority of the shirting for FW: http://nepenthes.co.jp/topics/305/j305.html

Anybody have any dealings with www.thecorridorstore.com ?

I called Nepenthes as I do like the Homespun pants that Fycus has but I need a 32 and they referred me to them.

Put in a message with them but haven't heard back.

Corridor current has a huge waiting list for the size 32, and there are already like 2 people ahead of me when I inquired about them (they are only getting 1 in that size). They stopped replying to emails as of late, you might have better luck calling via phone.
