I do have to say I have seen uglier pairs of jeans that seem to be big hits on this forum.

Agree with Johnny. Also, it's not so much the jeans but the model: you can see that his waist is alot bigger than the span of his thighs, coupled with the way he's standing, so it just makes the jeans look bad.

I myself have a pair of Nudie BB. If I had gone strictly by the pics of the models wearing them I would never have got them. Fortunately I went by measurements alone. Standing in from of the mirror, I look alot better than any model modelling BB's on any site.

i think if they weren't branded at all and had gone through a couple of washes so they weren't brown you wouldnt say the same thing.

diesel still to this day makes some of best quality jeans in its genre of designer denim. the fit and finish is some of the best for what it is. they do do a lot of hit or miss washes (lately miss) and quirky non-classic details - but i think a lot of their jeans fit a lot of guys very well and can be pulled of very tastefully. it just takes a little imagination and openmindedness.

that model is 'ha-ra-bull'

There's a lot of tension from newer members with styleforum/sufu hate for slim jeans and not respecting mall brands or pseudo-high end brands like diesel or some stuff sold at buckle (just an example, not picking on you razuel, i promise). Razuel has calmed down and learned to appreciate (at least i think) the different aesthetics and looks here, but there are a lot of comments like "maybe you are the sheeps" or "buckle/diesel isn't that bad, i see worse **** from the people in denim leggings." I don't know, it's just weird that people would come to a forum, obviously not fit in that well style wise, and start knocking other people and forum style mainstays and try almost have a forum overthrow. It's not as dramatic as i make it sound, but lately it's been just a bit weird. I don't know. The thread wasn't "if these jeans were raw and japanese, would they look bad?". These jeans look ugly as far as the wash and distressing goes, the fit all around just looks kinda off. The way the rear fits on it doesn't look good and looks like another guy trying to fit into american eagle girl jeans that i see so much from indie kids on campus. And no, dior 19cms or other male slim fit brands do not look like girl jeans. Just because they're tighter doesn't mean they look like girl jeans because it's about the cut and measurements of the jeans not just if it's tight or not. I think that's just knee jerk ignorance. April 77s and dior 19cms(sized down) when worn right look fantastic, girl jeans just aren't meant to look good on guys with the cut on the thighs, knees and calves and the front and rear rise are both way off. The cut of these jeans just don't seem like it could work very well regardless of model. The 3" flare doesn't make it better, and that's not because i think all bootcuts are ugly but because i don't think they're well executed here. It's not just because they're diesel so let's bash them. I give diesel props at times because some jeans fit pretty decent although it's hard to find a pair that fit good and have a nice subtle wash and minimal branding. For the most part though, diesel is relatively poorly concieved, overpriced, the quality has decreased over the years, and is geared at a market i do not even want to be associated with. That being said, there are things from time to time i see at the diesel outlet in orlando that look pretty decent(shirts, jackets, etc...), but the fit is usually suspect and even the outlet price doesn't really seem worth it to me considering i can find something similarly styled and cheaper at urban outfitters if i really wanted. Hell, a ton of diesel stuff is sold there anyways. That big outlet mall is nice just for browsing and the Barneys outlet sometimes has decent stuff, althought my girlfriend finds better stuff than i do there.

Stylin-1, there's far more to experience as far as bad taste in clothing goes. You can probably put more stuff in this thread.

Meh, the cut may not be that bad, the wash is obviously disgusting, but the model just doesn't fit into that pair. If they actually meant them to look like that, that's one thing, but that's Revolve's model not Diesel's.

That said, I'm not a big fan of most of what they're doing lately.

I enjoy this.

LOL. You can't really blame Diesel for Revolve using Cliff Claven as their model...but yeah they look horrid.

I thought it was Pat from SNL. Some definite gender ambiguity going on in those pics.

I think that is a poor wash, and an even poorer choice for the model. However, I own a pair of Vikers, and I have to say they are really good jeans. Mine are in 8AA, which is a raw looking wash, but is resin coated (or something similar), and has a touch of lycra. Besides the coin pocket, there really is no branding, and the back pockets just have th old style diesel stitching (think original Kratts) in light blue. Because of the stretch and the fit (regular, not too tight, not too loose), this is my default travel jean. If I'm going to spend 4-6hrs on a plane, they are good for comfort and staying cool. And I often go through the Diesel section of a department store to see what's new. Some of their jeans still aren't half bad if I can find a fit I like.

I agree, they aren't what they used to be, however.
