Do you have a reference for that article, I would like to read it as I do like the sartorialist's work.
I tried searching a few different terms, but couldn't see it. (Read a few other interesting critical commentaries: either he does not interview well at all, or there are some very passive aggressive interviewers who dislike him for whatever reason).
You pretty much hit it right there. In the early days of the Sartorialist, when he was still posting here, he actually captured a lot of different styles on "regular" people. I really enjoyed the diversity. The problem with his style, though, and that of other street style photographers, was pretty well captured in a piece about him a while ago that got it exactly right. It was that he has only one thing to offer, which is admiration. And anyone who has been in an asymmetrical relationship, which means pretty much anyone of adult age who doesn't live in a cave, knows that admiration gets old, fast.
