Most casually dressed men cringe at the thought of dressing too professional 100% of the time. Blazers and sport coats offer the comfort and style that gives way for an effortless look. Three things that make blazers essential items are for their style, quality, and tailoring.

The blazer jacket does NOT have to be a simple black, navy, or tweed. They can be picked up at top retailers like Asos or Brooks Brothers with different patterns and designs. Just aim for what complements your personal style.

Quality and tailoring of blazers go hand-in-hand as the craftsman is the key person who can make that blazer wearable or not. Sturdy threading, artistic cutting, and the right selection of fabric, be it silk or cotton, are paramount.
Shop around the net to select a style you might like. Most guys tend to favor the business-casual look and sport blazers with jeans and a plain t-shirt inside for an easy going, comfortable, yet savvy look.

If you have any further tips to share with the community on blazers (sport coats) or recommended retailers, just list it here so that anyone interested in this trend can get in on some new ideas for their wardrobe.

Well it's a good thing a Gentlemen Fashion Guru stopped by, or we wouldn't know what the **** to do....

Are those pictures supposed to be an example of a blazer done right? First of all that's not a blazer, it's a sports jacket, and secondly it's one of the ugliest things I've yet seen.

Seriously, what's the point of this?

Edit: Clicked the link, obviously this is a troll attempt and not a particularly subtle one either. Got me good though.

Maybe the picture is the "what you should not do when choosing a blazer/sportcoat/odd jacket/strangy inappropriate outfit when posting in MC" part of his treatise

Black shirt + white jeans = dope. Blazer is just gravy

Yes, that is what we need more of in MC: dope fits with black shirts, white jeans & tiny jackets.

I think that if you have that haircut, then you need that blazer. Or is it a cardigan? I can't really tell.

As fine an example of how not to dress as I can imagine. An utter abomination

The title and every option of your poll are misnomers

By definition, a "classic brown tweed" or "elegant simple black" or "velvet burgundy" etc. cannot be "blazers"

Surely this is a (not so subtle) attempt at trolling?
