What is a good brand of shirts to wear to the office with my ties?  I have a few Joseph A. Banks, Moderna and Charles Trywhitt.

What is a good brand of shoes for the office?

Blank Label

I've recently purchased a shirt from a few different online MTM companies (all between about $100 and $125):

Blank Label
Proper Cloth
Black Lapel

All three seem quite good. I requested a remake from Blank Label to fix a few measurement, and it went very smoothly. Essentially ended up with 2 shirts as they let me keep the first one (which I will have my tailor alter). I ended up with 2 shirts from Black Lapel, though that was due to a mistake on their part when they sent me a plain white shirt the first time (which was not what I ordered). I will say that they made it right and did so quickly.

I'm going to request a remake/alteration from Proper Cloth to fix a couple of measurements but haven't gotten around to it yet.

All three seem to be good quality for the price and they have plenty of options that would fit just fine in an office setting.

I ordered a couple of MTM shirts from a local person as well, and while I feel like the quality of those two shirts is better than the online ones, they were also a bit more expensive.

I'm also probably going to order a few more from some other online MTM shops just to see who seems to provide the best quality for the most reasonable price, but I haven't decided for sure yet.

I saw proper cloth's web site, going to need to take some measurements in order to order from them.  Will look at Blank Label and Black Lapel.  Any recommendations on shoe makers: I have Alen Edmonds and Johnson and Murphy.  I will ptrobably get roasted as a heritic but here goes,  Itend to prefer my Johnson and Murphy.

You'll need to take some sort of measurements for any of the MTM websites (though some offer "stanfard" size options - eg 16-34/35 - but if you are using a MTM company, you would sort of defeat the purpose if you select the standard RTW options). Might be directly from a well fitting shirt or actual body measurements, but they need the measurements to make the best fitting shirt possible.

As for shoes, I have a few pairs of AE, a pair of Donald Pliner, a pair of Magnanni. I'll probably be picking up a pair of Tricker's or Carmina soon as I begin to expand my collection. But as long as you get a style that isn't too outlandish and is relatively classic, it should fit in well in most offices.

That is true GBR however not all shirts are created equal, some are better than others.   I am attempting to learn which are the better ones.

Generally those that are more expensive and/or come from decent shops. For starters they should be all cotton and not made from some plastic junk.

How much can you afford to pay?
