Can't decide between Black, Mahogany or Tan Boots. HELP! :)

Evening all,
I'm in the market for my first pair of boots to wear casually/out at night that are actually durable.

I have come across Herring shoes which are made by Loake (Handmade in England) so I'm quite set on this brand in particular.

I've managed to find this pair in particular:

http://www.herringshoes.co.uk/product-info.php?&colset=1&styleid=88&shoeid=7469&brandid=6&catid=109&oldcolid=431&stype=0&colourid=4007

I'm quite torn between which color would be best suited as an every day pair.

I mainly wear classic blue denim jeans (Levi's) and surrounding shades such as darker/lighter blues. Also I like to wear black jeans a lot.

I also want to be able to pair them with Navy, Tan and Light chinos.

I'm a 19yr old male, uni student.. I would describe my style as more staple type. I like to stick to the classics.

I have always been in favor of black shoes because they go with anything and everything but I am seeking a better opinion other than my own.

:)

Not tan. Not a versatile footwear color and not traditionally an evening color. Also, in a casual environment like a bar, it could easily get discolored.

That leaves black and mahogany. The former would be iffy with navy chinos, which are limited in usefulness anyway. Those two dark colors probably would not look right with light-colored pants. In other words, there's a need for a different pair of quality footwear to wear with some of the items. One shouldn't have just a single pair of good boots or shoes anyway - lifespan would go way down.
