World Cup Fantasy League - Page 2

Ok, I read the rules and understand it now. Threw in a Belgian minutes before kick-off. By the way, I've got 89 points with 1 player to go.
Now cheering for Vertonghen. smile.gif

You can do substitutions at any point. You can only sub-in players who haven't played in that round. Each round has a separate tab (as round 1 and 2 cross both are currently open). If you change formation, it will drop the player closest to the bench. Transfers aren't available until after the group stages. I think that sums it up!

Subs? Please. My starters are going the distance. The Iranians and Nigerians I've filled my bench with are going to stay there.

112 total for first round

How could I have been affected by such incomprehensible dementia and laughable stupidity to have put Iker Casillas and Diego Costa on my starting 11? Surely everyone knew beforehand that these two would be the tournament's weakest goalie and striker respectively? baldy[1].gif

The only goalies I considered were Brazil's, Belgium's, and Argentina's, simply because they had the shittiest groups and seemed most likely to shutout their dogshit opponents.

I am too far behind to have a decent chance in this competition. But.... very happy with James Rodriguez and David Luiz this Saturday (from a fantasy league perspective). smile.gif

Shame my punt on Arias starting against Uruguay didn't pay off, but happy with JRod and Cuadrado's points.

MoK, who's on your team? You're up by quite a bit I see.

Not a great week for me, but Messi, Rojo and Van Butyen rescued it to a degree.

Costa Rica saved my game week - went into the last match with 49pts...

Congratulation MoK! You must have had ALL the right players in your team. An impressive win.

Thanks - I realized after the group stages that most points came from centre backs

655 in the world - on 822 points, needed 5 more points to have made the top 500. Somehow the winner scored 893!

I'll set up an FPL league when the official game opens - should be fairly soon.

Congratis, Mok. I almost got you.
