Hi all,

I'm new to Australia and after some very high end suits (ie. as close to Saville Row as possible).

Where do you recommend in either Sydney or Melbourne to get something of this caliber?

You'll probably have more luck with responses if you head over to the Australian Members' thread and put up a post there:

I'd suspect that J.H Cutler, Bijan Sheikhlary or Zink and Sons, all of which are in Sydney, would be closest to what you want, in order of most expensive to less expensive.

Bijan: http://www.bespokebijan.com.au/bijan.html

J.H. Cutler: http://www.cutlerbespoke.com/

Zink & Sons: http://www.zinkandsons.com.au/

You can read about some experiences with Bijan and with J.H. Cutler on the blog of one of the Australian members here on Styleforum. He's also posted about his commissions in the Australian Members' thread:

If money is no object, I'd suggest either Bijan or Cutler in Sydney. If cost is a concern, then I'd have no hesitation in recommending Zink & Sons, also in Sydney.

@Journeyman @tchoy @fox81 Thanks for the mentions, gents.

@BradJ At this point, I can only speak from experience about having a suit made with Bijan. He is exceptional and without a doubt, world class.
Cutler will cost a bit more than Bijan. Having met John (Cutler) several times now and seen his suits, they are also very impressive and I plan to have one made by him in the future, possibly an overcoat.

Charles Maimone (Melbourne) is a wonderful man and his suits are completely hand stitched in his little shop on Crossley Lane. They will cost a good bit less than Bijan and Cutlers too. The coat he wore when I met him was exceptional, it was one he had made for himself. I expect to have a suit made by Charles before the year is out.

There are a few others out there who I would like to meet too, but a suit with any of those 3 would be something to be proud of.

I hope that's of some help.

Andrew.
