I also went with olive. Since I didn't find any regimental striped tie with green in it, I thought olive would be the second best choice for military inspired colour scheme. New 3 piece linen suit that I ordered for Pitti, will need a new pressing before I go though.

I just came from the basted fitting of a lovely Minnis fresco suit in RAF blue (@ Cad & The Dandy) that would have been perfect for this...

I have a very nice olive green suit that would be perfect for this challenge, but is unfortunately still in storage back in Holland....
