I have mixed feelings about TUKS. Definitely more good than bad, but a lot of the gags & one-liners are just weird for the sake of being weird. At its worst, the show feels a lot like a long-form improv bit that just doesn't click. Carol Kane is great, though.

It tries to mine the same vein of absurdist humor as 30 Rock did, which makes sense since Tina Fey is an executive producer. But I enjoyed 30 Rock way way more. Some recent TV I have watched and can heartily recommend:

Louie - season 5
Catastrophe - season 2
Top Gear final season

and a lot of Animaniacs, which my kids absolutely love.

I started watching The People vs OJ Simpson on Playstation VUE. I am liking it so far. Fuck OJ.

It's pretty interesting since I was a really young kid when the OJ trial went down. All I remember is being at the beach with my family in the rental we always went every summer that only had one TV, and me wanting to watch cartoons while they had the OJ trial on every day.

I am enjoying "The Grinder." I need a show in the rotation that does not require me to think, but also doesn't suck. (Brooklyn Nine Nine is another show that fits the bill, but it's a little more hipster-absurdist in the vain of Community, 30 Rock, TUKS. The Grinder is nice because it's got an absurd premise, but treats it earnestly.)

Also hooked on Togetherness after 3 episodes.

Watching The Path on Hulu and enjoying. Thinking of giving 11.22.63 a try.

Started The Sopranos from the beginning. Man this is gonna take some time as these episodes are long. I never got into it when originally aired. Now that am I older though I feel like I can appreciate it more. About halfway through.

I sort of binged S01-S05. I've watched three or four episodes of S06 a few weeks ago but haven't finished it yet. Anyway, S01-S05 were pretty great.

The first episode was terrible. Slow and lots of bad scenery shots. Since then though, very good stuff. I watched because it was drawing comparisons to James Bond, and after watching I could totally see Hiddleston filling into the role nicely. Hugh Laurie also does a bang up job with his role.

I have been an avid skier for many years so I probably got into the scenery a little more than most , but yeah I agree there was a lot of The Matterhorn in that ep

The clothing has been pretty nice in the series as well.
