Agree, there are whole episodes where the credibility is stretched beyond belief and this seems completely inconsistent with the more intimate passages of the story, which are reasonably well put together in my view.

Always thought it was a shame that Gabriel Byrne got the chop so early!

M*A*S*H*
I was a kid when that show was wrapping up and my brothers and I would watch it in syndication after school, so it's nice to revisit it. I always loved The Swamp - it always seemed so cozy to me as a child.
I need to find episodes of All Creatures Great and Small.

Hawkeye's wise cracking had a big impact on me as a kid. Loved the show.

Apparently you can get dvds without the laugh track.

Can remember watching All Creatures Great and Small as well. Read the books as a kid too.

Those motherfuckers took M*A*S*H off the streaming list.

I'd watch Dave Letterman with my dad when I was growing up. I think that's why I have such a warped sense of humor.

Even shows like Rome started to go down the soap opera route.

Yup, so far so good.

I've been watching the second season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, since it went live on Netflix on Friday. It's still the same goofy happiness as the first season, and I'm very happy with it.

^I turned on S01E01 S02E01 and turned it off after 45 seconds. Totally not in the mood for it.

Finished Manhattan. Great stuff, great cast. Sadly over after 2 seasons cuz of too few viewers. Current season of The Americans is solid too.

New season of GoT and Silicon Valley incoming! Good, cause the current seasons of Billions & Shameless have ended, and BCS & Lucifer will end soon too.

I'm very excited for this myself. That show is super funny.

And yeah, Kimmy isn't for everyone. The sense of humor is just a little off for the mainstream. No worries there. Also, it takes a little bit to find it's footing, since the first half of the first season was created for NBC, who then passed on it. Once Netflix picked it up, the Netflix produced episodes are far better, since they're not bound by the "22 minutes and three commercial breaks" formula that ruins so many comedy sitcoms.

Oh yeah, I kind of enjoyed Kimmy S01... just not in the mood for it at the moment.
Edit: Whoops, just realized the typo in my original post.. I meant s02e01.
