Just discovered Into the Badlands. Liking it a lot, more than Jessica Jones, and it fills the same hole in my TV appetite. Basically all the video games I like brought to live action, with good fight scenes and a promising plot.

It's been on my radar. Good to know it delivers.

I'm about halfway through Jessica Jones. All of the hype is ruining it for me. I like the series a lot, but wouldn't put it anywhere near the "all time great" tier.

What's a good streaming show on Nflix that is not based off a comic book?

I've seen a few good reviews, but nothing I'd call hype. And I agree, it's a very good show that I'm enjoying a lot, but it's not one of my all time greats.

I've seen a lot of think pieces and Facebook comments about how this show is a game changer, greatest super hero show ever, etc.

Anything with a female protagonist is bound to have immediate knee-jerk reviews skewed towards the positive end. Not saying they're not warranted. Just saying it's not entirely unexpected in the short run.

FINALLY you can add Starz to your amazon prime video subscription! I will finally be able to watch Ash vs Evil Dead legally.

Holy shit, if you guys haven't been watching Fargo you've been missing out. Fucking fantastic. Yes, it borrows a lot of elements from prior Coen bros. films, but it's still fucking genius.

Haven't started season 2 yet, but loved season 1. Glad they didn't pull a True Detective.

Are people into the Bill Murray Christmas Special just because he's Bill Murray and untouchable? It was pretty cringey IMO. Miley Cyrus was the best part, and Chris Rock #2 (just because he was shamelessly terrible, unlike Maya Rudolph who was actually trying). He needed more guest stars who both (a) have personality and (b) can actually sing.
