What TV Series Are You Streaming Lately? - Page 17

I'm down to the last episode of Jessica Jones. My main observation is that although entertaining, many elements have gotten on my nerves. Her sarcasm and constant scowl are grating. Kilgrave is a very fun badguy, but I've found this season long cat and mouse tiring. The writers barely attempt to explain why he hasn't been killed somehow much earlier in the season. Finally, I find all the supporting cast members irritating. Trish is hot but her attempts to get involved are stupid, the attorney is immensley creepy and quite stupid also (think frozen fetus), Simpson is dumb (why was he on 'roids again? oh and why did Trish become an item with him just because he told her he felt bad for trying to kill her and gave her a loaded gun), the psycho neighbor ginger girl is a freak and I struggled to feel bad for her during her distress, and that Luke Cage guy got a little too smitten too quickly (and really with unbreakable skin how could a gun shot phase him?).

I'd give it a 7/10 cause it doesn't bore me but after the final episode tonight I'm going to really struggle to justify watching another season. Particularly if Kilgrave survives it.

Watched first couple of epi's for Master of None. Some of the acting really sucks (I think he casted his real parents) but the fact it kept making me think someone was filming GF's life gave me a chuckle.

Yes, I read that series but not the Bosch ones. The movie wasn't half bad, in my opinion.

I enjoyed it but I have been a huge consumer of scifi in my lifetime and found it a bit cliched and predictable. The overall message however is spookily appropriate to the condition of the world today

Agreed, it was damn decent. Give it a watch.

I have them all downloaded but I need to get around to watching them. Maybe later today.

Late to the party but binged first 3 seasons of Trailer Park Boys. I'm not sure this show would work for someone without some working knowledge of poverty/trash culture but iI do and it's so good. Probably inspiration for Eastbound and Down.

Did you see that movie Adventureland about the kid working at an amusement park in the 80s? Red Oaks reminds me of that. Kind of a coming of age type story set in 1985 in North Jersey. Good but not fantastic. Could knock out the whole season in an evening if you were so inclined.
