Yes, I'm familiar with Purple Noon. Other adaptations of novels in the Ripley series include Ripley's Game (the Easter egg in the final episode of Ripley will make sense*) and The American Friend. Highsmith also wrote the novel Hitchcock's "Stranger On a Train" is based on.

*Not exactly a spoiler It is my hope that this surprise is an indication that Netflix will continue the series with the same cast... but I wouldn't want to know it's coming....

But we've been watching it for the trash TV after work entertainment value.

This actually got better through the middle once the characters were all introduced. Totally decent, will watch season two.

These were quite expensive
At the end, including my labor, fabric and trims, chainstitch embroidery, distressing, and the cost of the PA to run around. These most have cost over $1000 each.

And there were several samples as well

How does the sizing work? Do they send you Walton/the Ghoul's measurements or just say make a medium?

Often I am given tailors measurements that aren't the same way I would take. Sometimes they will do a fitting in a shirt. And told to copy. If I am lucky I get photos of the actor in the shirt. If famous the face is Often blocked out. Sometimes I will change the fit of the shirt based on the photos.
We Often make one for a fitting, then make doubles. Or more of the same shirt. We Often make for the photo double or stunt.
We made close to 15 of the same shirt.
For Fallout. There was a second shirt we made 13 of. That I barely saw on camera in the first episode.
Recently measure Walton Goggins in person for White Lotus.

Some are great. There are others I never need to meet again in person.

I am loving this “peek behind the curtain”, love your shirt work here!

Goggins has been a fav of mine since The Shield, I’ll watch pretty much anything he’s in. Really enjoyed Fallout.

I didn't realize that's where the Shogun book ends. Certainly explains the pacing and existence as a miniseries!

I guess it makes sense given the history of Japan and the transition into the Edo period, but I'm semi-surprised that he never wrote a continuation.
