This is referring a little farther back in the thread, but... I checked out the lines on pediwear, and though the construction/materials are obviously (by price and testimonials here) not equal to better made English/Italian/(or even American) shoes, the styling options seem much wider than most American mass-market shoes. My question is: Is there no market in the US for this stuff? I'd be quite happy to see similar styling at a similar pricepoint here, even if it is relatively weak construction. Basically, I'd much rather pay $130 for a Loake or even over $200 for a Tricker's shoe (with varying styles, colors) than get an ugly one from Cole Haan for the same price, or pay $250-300 for a ferragamo or AE version which is probably not appreciably better. I'm taking into account that I can't/shouldn't afford e. green etc. Make sense? No offense meant to the shoe connoisseurs.
