Looks like you just got the poll up. That's what I get for always being last minute. Some great entries. I'll be very curious to see who wins.

It surprises me there weren't more entries. Everyone should at least be able to put together a somewhat formal outfit, and it's not all that difficult either. Dark suit, plain light blue/white shirt, black shoes, and a restrained tie/square.

Predictably awesome finale from TTO...gets my vote, as does Don.  Mention in dispatches for ETB too, but I think the three piece has to rule this one.

I know what you mean, but I think that the first entry out of the gate set a pretty high standard, making it clear that this wasn't just going to be conservative business dress, but a real 'F#@k You Casual Friday!' challenge, with an emphasis on the FU.  :)

Cheers,

mimo's fall from equal first is a tragedy.

I think the issue is not really with the difficulty, but the fact that we were limited to Thursday and Friday and people may not have had a great reason to wear a suit on either of those days. I wore a suit and tie on Thursday but didn't really love the outfit, so decided to not participate in the challenge. Yesterday my only need to leave the house was to go to a sports bar and watch a hockey game, and I wasn't about to throw on a suit and tie just for a Friday challenge.

Why so greedy, Monkeyface? We have a tuxedo, a bowler, a fez, and several sharp DBs. All considered, a pretty nice outing.

The more the merrier, right? It's always fun to see all the different members' takes on a certain challenge theme.

^^ +1 Feel guilty that time didn't allow me to compete, sorry. Truth to be told I was all set then got invited to play golf...

I think this should be the challenge once per season. Or at least a SF tradition.

Yes, same here, except in my case, I simply woke up late and then felt like having a day off (benefits of self-employment), so went to watch the Edge of Tomorrow instead. So no reason to dress up, hence subbing in the only moderately formal fit from Thursday instead. I was planning on a more businessy fit for Friday but as I wasn't working, I would have been ridiculously overdressed.

In general, I think the challenges are best when you have the whole week to play with, though I can understand why the restriction was put in place this time round.

I don't think either of us need feel guilty however; there are some great entries. Voted for most of the field, in fact.
