How do you guys deal with shrinking clothes?

Hey guys, I am new here. I am looking to revamp my wardrobe and going to be buying a bunch of new clothes. I am curious how you guys deal with clothes shrinking. Do you buy clothes a little bit bigger and shrink them in your size or do you buy clothes that fit the way they should and just never put them in the dryer. This has always been an issue for me and am trying to figure out the best way to deal with it.

Delicate cycle, hang dry.

I wash most of my stuff in cold water and hang dry almost everything. I find the dryer is the main reason for clothes shrinking and wearing out.

anything like jeans or knits (sweaters, etc) gets a bucket soak and laid flat.

yes, it's a lot more work, but if you take the time and spend the money and respect your clothes then it's just what is required.

In my experience almost all garments that I have bought have shrunk regardless of where they were bought from and how much they cost. Some shrink more predictably than others though. I guess I will need to start putting the extra time in like you said.
