Just for you:
Just for you:
Ok, well with all due respect (which, let's be honest, is not a heaping portion), while you're not wrong, what you're overlooking is that I primarily post to get feedback on what works and what doesn't, not to show off how awesome my solidly sf-approved fits are. Like a lot of people, I stumbled a bit at first but with good feedback was able to hit my stride, which is I think the period of time you're talking about here. Once I got a good handle on what worked for me, I did a lot of the same stuff for awhile.
But I wasn't content to just stay there, plus I'm pretty sure that you guys would get sick of seeing the same Stark/blue OCBD/RRL chinos/boots fit every day ad nauseum, and while half the time that's what I'm wearing, I've tried not to post a bunch of repeats as there isn't much value to doing so from a development perspective. So I experiment with different things, some of which works, and some of which doesn't.
Lately, I've been trying to narrow my focus and trim the odd bits of my wardrobe that weren't working with everything else. I'm also getting a bunch of stuff tailored that has probably needed it for awhile. I'm not obsessing over quality™ anymore and am taking advantage of uniqlo to stock up on basics in the categories where uniqlo is often more than sufficient. I'm refocusing my thinking on what works in my climate so I don't have to wait for Stark weather to be posting fits all the time. And as I mentioned recently in RFT, I'm going to put a bunch of time and searching in before buying any more suits. I think I'm close to being back at a point where I can put together at least a week's worth of solidly good fits (both CM and SW&D) without anything being too stale or too off-the-wall, and once I finally stop traveling in a couple weeks, I'll take a week and give it a shot, and we'll see how I do.
Also, I'm going to blatantly copy this.
@StanleyVanBuren I think to make the loafers work you have to introduce some more pizzaz, my issue with them in most of your fits is that the rest is basically business casual. For example, I'd rather see them with rolled-up jeans showing some ankle or pressed wool pants with no break, a tee, and a margiela blazer, instead of baggy chinos and a gingham shirt, you know? Your vacation photos looked great so I think most of us are aware that you dress well 90% of the time.
