Couple of work fits

700

Pants are current season Jan Jan van Essche in the brown taupe which is a waxed/oiled canvas made from 97% cotton and 3% linen, fantastic fabric.

Shirt is frank leder, green linen, hence the wrinkliness ;p

I've been noticing this too... gonna have to play around with some options. I'm never going to reach Charly status, but I don't foresee cutting back on lifting etc. Small waist:hip ratio to begin with anyway. Suggestions?

I have really big thighs and the PBJ Loose Tapered work good, the washed out pair looks like your JE. Only problem I heard is if you wear a size smaller than 33" then the leg opening is super slim, like 6" or some ****.

OK, that's it, I'm getting a Blue Blue Japan sashiko item, see y'all later

(excellent fit)

yes, do it. you won't regret it.

Pretty sure RP is reinhard plank. Ghostface is selling a rad plank hat right now, though a different style and color than thatoneguy's.

Thanks! That one Ghostface is selling is tempting...

yes, do it. you won't regret it. (pm me if you having sizing, styling, or pricing questions. :))

Contrary to what ghost's listing says, you can't count on that hat stretching if it's too small for you.

I've tried on a size-too-small hat that also lacked a band and... yeah, be careful out there.

just speaking from experience, my black reinhard plank hat definitely got looser as i wore it more. it may have to do with the particular consistency of the fur, compared to the one you tried?

also, while we're on the @cyc wid it lower body clothing recommendation subject-- have you considered footwear that is less sleek? maybe boots that are more combat-ish (with a more bulbous toe and thicker sole), as opposed to the mmm's you wear a lot? i think that would help balance out the proportions on your fits (especially when paired with diniro's recommendation for pants that are looser in the thigh), since you have such wide shoulders.

I dig his boots. The MMM boots seem to have really chunky / square toebox?

Did you know it's based on the Gaelic word 'actu', which means 'to hug'?

In effect, Bam@ChairDance, I will bet money that Mr Moo is actually getting his words by translating word-for-word from the Russian language.

Russian language borrows massively from Greek language---(we gave them everything that civilises them, they are barbarian animals by nature! Just look at Putin!!)--and modern Greek language, which of course comes from classical Greek language, is full of idioms that draw on hyperbole...for example, you can indicate someone knows a lot by saying they "have forgotten more than [someone else] knows".

Example for use:

My brother Teger: Stanley van Buren knows so much about car models!
Me: Indeed he does, my brother Teger. He is so knowledgable! He has forgotten more about Volkswagens than even the German engineers know!
My brother Teger: "I don't like Germans"
Me: Why not, my brother Teger?

etc etc.

If you're under 33" then you need to be a shoe size of ~9 or smaller to fit through. I'm barely making it through the opening of my 28" as an 8.5D. But they're amazing if you have a small waist and large hips/thighs.

Thanks. I'll definitely post something with the sweater open.

I did look at all the measurements for these, not just the waist, and ended up with 32s (edit: as a 34US/50EU in most cases with about a 35 inch measured waist). There does seem to be a little stretch in the waist already, though the started out being comfortable everywhere.

Early going, but I feel as if the fit in this size is right for me. And the cut appeals too.

First pair of raw denim I bought a few years back I went with the sales guy's advice (different brand) that I should barely be able to get them on and buttoned and those were never, ever comfortable for me. Maybe it was the cut in part, but they were just plain too tight. That was a learning for me. :)

Good stuff. I'm a 35.25" waist and I'm wrestling with a 33.9 waist or a 35, knowing that my legs warrant the smaller size. Do you think that the waist can stretch over an inch? Is there fabric to open the waist?
Thanks
