There are definitely lasts that lend themselves better to one thing vs the other. Same can be said for derby's as well!

Never seen an epaulet thing I wanted to buy.

Need some nice black chelseas but mc lasts like carmina rain make me uneasy.

@Cotton Dockers great jacket dude. V interesting choice of the dark colored trousers. I would have gone the easy route of pastel or light brown/tan but I think you've made the whole thing work pretty well 👍

I would've liked to see a thicker sole on those Epaulet chelsea's. If you're going to do a rounder toe in beige suede w crepe, why not do something a bit chunkier more along the lines of those Diemme chelseas or Nonnative's sidezips and push it slightly more into 'ranch boot' territory. Instead you have a rather half-hearted chelsea.

(Having said that, I think they work fine with CD's fit).

Serious question: Can you comment a bit more on the shape of SWD lasts vs. CM lasts? This is an interesting subtlety I hadn't yet realized.

Also, I've been looking for an all-white sneaker. Would've probably bought CPs already if it wasn't for the gold foil serial number by the heel.

This is me with my uncle, who lives on St Thomas (United States Virgin Islands), watching the parade during Carnival. My uncle went blind in recent years and now competes with the US Virgin Islands paralympic sailing team. He couldn't see much of the parade but said he enjoyed all of the music. It also was raining on and off during the parade, but apparently there is a long-held island tradition of "raid don't stop the Carnival."

The survey marker at the top of Jost Van Dyke. We hiked 1,058 feet from sea level to reach this. Not a huge ascent, but no easy task in nearly 100% humidity.

This was the best car I spotted on the entire trip. All I know is that it's a Super Beetle, probably from the early 70s, and it's the best blue I've ever seen on one of these cars. This was on Tortola (BVI), near Long Bay.

Was on the way to get a haircut and with the rare sunny day here during the rainy season I figured I'd take a couple pics for the hell of it. Still trying to lose a few more kg but made a lot of progress since Feb.
