Open to other ideas of course, just thought I'd throw it out there, considering the topic of conversation the past couple days.

Uniqlo t-shirt
Kapital Obie Sarouel pants
DRKSHDW ramones

I like the idea of the Kapital pants but that particular tee doesn't do them justice from what I can see. Would love to see the pants in a variation of this fit that shows them better.

I have one polo: deadstock '70s with a huge collar.

I'm so ready.

What's the deal with sarouel pants? Especially with the aggressively tapered ones wouldn't you just end up with a massive diaper butt? - I don't mean that against s3lam just a random thought...

Really depends on cut and fabric (wool gab is the best). all but one pair of pants i have feature exaggerated rises, though that's not necessarily what defines a sarouel per se

Hi, I'm just curious but can I ask @RegisDB9 how long ago you started wearing Margiela and what made you start wearing just or mostly margiela apparel?

Who needs help fixing their computer?

cosmic wonder rules

more people should buy their stuff, realize it's not for them, and sell it cheap

shirt is La Paz Matos with a hidden button club sort of thing. Kind of short collar for a popover but their cuts are surprising

Pants are Cosmic Wonder Light Source lenin joints

Warning: Spoiler Cause SF Bros Have Heard This 1000 Times (Click to show)
Sure man, no problem in asking

I first heard of margiela after HS back in 2008-09, but thought it was some crazy looking shit I would never wear. When I joined SF I set out to find the brands that insterested me most....Robert Geller, Rick, KVA, RAF, Jil, Ann, Nom de Guerre, Wings + Horns, you name it, I've probably tried it. None of these brands made me feel cool in my clothing and I felt I was mixing and matching too much and wasting $$$ in the process. I re-discovered Margiela and I realized that it felt as though it was made for me both in fit and style. I find that Margiela goes better with more Margiela and my shopping experience is much easier and pleasurable buying from one brand. No guessing with sizes, I know what I am getting etc.

Basically Margiela supplies me with the simple/boring style I like with just enough of a "fuck those details are cool, why didnt I think of that?" experience

Thanks for the answer @RegisDB9, it's usually a  more pronounced or divisve designer/brand that I've seen people choose when sticking to a particular style, makes a lot of sense though if the brand fits like a glove. Probably should've asked on the fashion thoughts thread though, thanks again.

Much appreciated @Regis.

It's interesting that Regis has become so respected, as that wasn't initially the case when he first joined the site. I recently stumbled on an old thread and was surprised to see him clash with several of the forum's regulars.

This is something I did not need to know about... smile.gif

Edit: Oh good. Had a look and sizing looks like it wouldn't work for me. Phew.

@the shah i'm all for elongated rises but many of these sarouel pants are drop crotch + sit at hips more than high rise i think.. combined with a tight aggressive taper... just leads to a silhouette with skin-tight calves and a huge hanging diaper butt..  not really very flattering..
