I quite like the 'moody cowboy' feel of the jacket + jeans. Divided on the scarf, though. On one hand, that blue goes well with the brown of the jacket, but the size makes it visually overpowering in a maybe not-so-good way.

edit: actually I think I like the scarf here :nodding:

The coat works with the jeans in a rugged kind of way and works with the scarf in a fashion kind of way. But the scarf doesn't work with the jeans, which is why I suggested picking one or the other and taking the whole fit in that direction. As is, it's sort of two minds.

Scarf looks great color wise. idk what type of pants would work best with that look and still let the scarf work the way it does

i think my scarf game is worse than my footwear game, which is already terrible. :embar:

Why don't you think the scarf works with the jeans? I see it as more of a 'bohemian' (sorry!) sort of look, which merges rugged and eccentric/foofy into one happy whole

I really like the jacke with the jeans and scarf. I wish the boots were, yes, more cow boyish. And lighter. And suede.

If you could boil all the adjectives that describe something down to one word, what would it be?

Jeans: faded
Scarf: brilliant

That's my impression of those items. Colors, textures, shape, etc are all important, and those are qualities they share (blue, wrinkled, long...). But their most defining aspects, from my perspective, are in direct contrast. Contrast can be good though and that's why you say bohemian (unconventional) and appreciate it in that way I guess. To me, they don't gel and don't work as counterpoint either.

It's all subjective. I'm picking apart a fit that's still really good. I just like to critique interesting looks and this is pretty interesting.

Dude, that first fit is stellar. You nailed it.

You should delete that second fit while you still can.

that coat is too cool for those jeans. and it knows it.
lol That's usually the case with outerwear. Have trousers ever outshined outerwear in the same fit? Jackets will always be cooler than trousers.

The worn-in look of the jacket and denim are definitely great together. It looks like--and correct me if I'm hallucinating--an ombre scarf. The fading to a light blue reiterates the worn-in aesthetic. The color is a bit bold, though. That's all down to personal preference/style. I think a more subdued hue of blue would be great, or any other dulled earth tone.

lol @ "size [of the scarf] makes it visually overpowering in a not-so-good way" this seems so familiar...

I do think tan suede boots would be even better than any of the above. Bold color scarf would definitely work better with that, too. Nonetheless, really great fit @canstyleace
