I kept looking at this along with the other two photos and I just couldn't figure out what this reminded me of. Then I remembered the Gantz movie. This is totally giving off that early Gantz vibe.

Agree with past and recent feedback that a diversity of pant silhouettes would take your fits next level. Maybe hunt for some vintage YSL and stunt on the SLP employees by showing them how badass the house used to be. That coat's beautiful shape deserves a pant with an equal amount of volume.

There's a 3d version in the works, and the creator started a new series, Inu Yashiki, with an older man as the protagonist, so that's kinda new.

Good. One of the few Japanese live action films I've ever liked.

Probably, yes. Call it regression or laziness or whatever, but these days anything that doesn't work over a shirt/jeans/boots (or sneakers) doesn't get much wear. I'm sure it doesn't help that I don't always have the best lighting/res on my pics.

I feel like this is more a matter of finding a comfortable and successful style and running with it. Most people have one major aesthetic they gravitate to and Cyc's has been pretty much in the same realm since I came to this forum. I can see an argument that it's boring but so is all black rick and devoa, or all indigo workwear.

Granted, nobody has said "yo, that sucks", most are suggestions on how to make it "better", I'm iut not sure those suggestions are necessarily needed.

See, I really disagree with this mindset. I think that it's fine that cyc is comfortable in the things he wears and gravitates towards consistent looks, but I hope he and most of us would agree that suggestions and constructive criticism are important to continue to challenge how we dress and look at how others dress. For example, when I'm looking at data in lab I of course have my own analysis that I want to run, but I always take my data to a few other people in my department to see what questions and alternate analyses they might suggest. Outside opinion can help open our minds to possibilities we haven't considered, like Ragechesters suggestion of vintage YSL. So sure, cyc may not change the pants he wears in these fits but if he decides to try out other things then at least he will have a more varied selection than perhaps he would have if he sought things out on his own.

And this is not to call out your post or cyc specifically, but rather to reinforce a point that I think many have made before that we should all attempt to discuss and challenge how we look at the clothes we all wear. When one person suggests something, it also causes other posters to try to imagine how a different piece would change that look, and in doing so may change how they see a piece influencing their own style.

@baltimoron I definitely understand all of that and didn't mean it to sound as though he should dismiss everything entirely.
