That's the item made by Luxire. It's a heavyweight indigo cotton sashiko Uncle Nephew fabric.

So back to comfy instead
Second fit works better for me, but I agree that different trousers might make the first one sing.

Thanks - the shirt is from a few seasons back - very dense cotton weave, quite weighty fabric and very warm for the thickness.

Kendo jacket fabric could be the right reference. I've never handled anything labeled that way, so I can't be sure. This stuff is definitey quite heavy and pretty soft. Softer than the Blue Blue Japan sashiko fabric I've handled.

Most of these brands like to use the word "SASHIKO" to describe their stuff but in reality its closer to how Kendo jackets are made.

of course i am referencing the fabric being used and not the style of jacket

is this the new version of a.p.c.'s used denim?

those are just regular kendogis, by the way. why are they called sashiko jackets?

i'll sell you mine for 50 dollars foo.gif

I know they are regular kendo Gi's but the fabric you typically see on one is similar to what is being sold by brands like Blue Blue & now Rogue Territory.

My question was " Is the jackets fabric similar to what u get from a Kendo ( I know i left off the Gi)

@Dirty Denim

@nahneun

Yes, I suppose this is in fact kendo cloth, though it does seem to be a common practice to call it sashiko as well. This material is generally similar to what BBJ calls sashiko, and it's almost exactly like what's shown here:

I would charge more. Anything you can get away with call sashiko seems to sell at quite a premium. smile.gif
