ha i really liked the top half and wasn't expecting white pants as i scrolled down. I wrote my comment more out of surprise than anything else.

Unpredictability can be a good thing.

FWIW, I think they should be ordered long and a size up. I'm usually 44-46 and originally got one in a 36 and it was way too short and didn't look right. I eventually got a 38L and it's slouchy without looking like it's someone else's jacket.

Fall is for layering:

^^ I really really don´t get why you wear ties with fits like that. Looks contrived and out of place.

I'll second this. I picked up the green version a few weeks ago and the thing is built like a tank. Also +1 on the sizing up. I usually wear a 38 - s-m, but went with a large for this piece and the fit is perfect. Somewhat short, but that's how MA-1's are supposed to fit.

Both coats are excellente.    I really like the oversized pockets on the navy coat!?

Was just really oddly proportioned. I'm 5 ft 9ish and 155, typically EU50 in fashion stuff.

i don't know, i think their are plenty of "casual" ties that feel at home in more functional-ish street outfits, including that one. Looks okay to me.

I think I kind of like the tie, actually, on its own terms, but with respect to the ensemble I could not agree more.

@NewYorkIslander, do you have any other close-ups of the tie (like your last pic, but with more teddy-bear and less crotch)?

It's clearly a very informal tie, but with an aged, beaten-up "brown and denim" outfit (especially IMO with multi-denim and the western styling of the vest), no tie is casual enough to fit the rest of it.
