Edit: so the jacket, pants and shoes work. Very cool. Now what color t would help this? White? Tan? I tried a couple of collared shirts and they just felt stuffy.

I really like Everlane's black fabric, and their new heather tees are actually quite good. Not as keen on their 'medium grey' tees like the one you're wearing, since those hints of blue n' lavender make them harder to pair with a lot of jackets

Well, I guess from the thumbs and comments I'm headed in the right direction in the jacket/pants/shoes department (from a few months ago) I guess it's time to concentrate on the shirts.

I know I hype this shirt up all the time, but it bears mentioning again:

The black and gray go with anything. Oatmeal, coffee, and indigo are not bad. I've been wearing the same shirts weekly for 3+ years. 100% cotton tees lose their shape after a year or so for me. These pill a little bit, but I think it looks good, and they keep their shape. Size-up one for drape - they look good a little bit oversized but can be worn fitted as well.

Has just the right amount of drape, stretch, and length for a basic T. There's a version with a pocket as well if you're into that sort of thing.

Are they safe to toss in the dryer or will they shrink too much?

I think they will shrink a full size if you have one of those serious dryers, but I'm not 100% sure as I don't own a dryer - my shower room has a function where it blows hot air to dry clothes, I hang dry in there

I've never heard of such a thing, but now I must have it.

Those tri blends don't shrink a full size - just a tiny bit but not much.
