I wasn't so worried since this jacket is the definition of casual!

It's not about the collar being casual, it's just a bad looking collar. It lacks a desirable shape.

No h8.

None taken. I bought a few nicer shirts I'm going to start working into rotation.

I honestly think this 'casual dressy' thing works better for me, especially since it's a wardrobe that I'll be able to wear for the next few years (as a med student if I make it, as a resident in clinic) and then keep things growing as I go.

Collar aside, the whole vibe definitely works for you, and even though I don't particularly like many of those items, it definitely is your style, and it's a lot better than the stuff that you started it with.

Glad to see you headed in the right direction. It's only a matter of time before you start picking out better items with the same vibe, and then you'll really be hitting the sweet spot.

Colors are awful but here goes not sure why pants are doing that at the knee, but I suspect they're as tired as me.

Are looking heavenward for sartorial guidance?

Antonio, if you're modelling this SC and not planning to keep it as part of your personal collection, shoot me a PM.  Want SO badly.

Feeling fall.

Army wool/silk/cashmere donegal herringbone jacket
Unlined spread collar Japanese oxford shirt
Wool/cahsmere donegal knit tie
Moleskin pintuck trouser (an ode to Edward Sexton)

All current Eidos fall with Belgian hooves.

Are you serious about George Zimmer at Century 21? If so, I don't know whether to be impressed that he really loves menswear so much that he'd do such work or sad that he's fallen so far.

Thanks for the kind words and feedback yesterday/today, guys.  Four patterns today, but just blue and burgundy.  The shirt is blue/white pencil stripe.  The shoes are new to me from eBay.  I had rubber soles put on them, but the soles look thicker than I thought they would.

I highly doubt that man will ever have to work a day in his life again if he does not want to.

AAS, not feeling what looks like an orphaned suit jacket there, but the new shoes are great.

Good addition to the shoe wardrobe, AAS.

Very, very nice AAS, I like it a lot. (Except for the shoelaces, that is... wink.gif)

I went back and checked @Ianiceman's last couple of dozen posts and yes, have to concede that there were some kind words in there as well as lambasts.

So I withdraw the accusation of trollery with apologies.

FWIW though, I do still feel that critiques carry more weight when they come from people with a proven track record of putting together great fits.

Whether or not the criticisms are valid, it's off putting to be in the game and be criticized by someone who chooses to sit anonymously on the sidelines. I've posted twice in this thread for a total of 6 thumbs. Until I've built up enough of a wardrobe and am finally in a position to regularly post fit pics and teach the rest of you bums how to dress, I'll be making a conscious effort to keep my observations regarding posted fits positive or unvoiced for this reason.
