Sorry for the poor(ish) photos; travelling again. Tie is Atkinson's, 100% wool, made in Ireland. Boo ya!

Kind words! @SeamasterLux

I must admit that I admire your wardrobe. That shirt collar...

All the best

The Friday Challenge this week is to wear a patterned suit. The contestants, so far, seem to be leaning towards heavily patterned suits. I chose this one for my entry into this challenge.

Suit - New & Lingwood
Shirt - Tyrwhitt
Tie - Charvet
Braces - New & Lingwood
Cufflinks - BB
Vintage watch chain
Shoes - C & J

Really? I thought this was probably the least successful fits I've seen Gerry post. YMMV, I guess.

*Some reasoning: part of it was just visceral: I saw the picture and just thought, 'no, that doesn't work'. When I thought about it, I put it down to: the burgundy is actually just too close in too many ways to the tone of the jacket, and yet, the bottom half seems to lack an obvious relationship to the top.

It may assuage your uneasiness to know that having no photoshop skills I assigned that task to one of my assistants, a lovely young lady who is a former 2nd runner-up Miss World. She said you looked "nice." Of course she has no notion of proper jacket length. wink.gif

It's the end of a very long week, and I'm feeling washed out. These are some things I threw on in the dark this morning...

I'd love to have a sleep but I've only just got here, I have three meetings, one of which I have to chair, and in between those I have to completely read and edit a 60-page funding proposal upon which the future of my research centre depends... happy, happy, joy, joy.
