Midnight blue suit, slightly darker blue shirt, brown tie and black shoes.

And a full fitpic, just because you guys like it so much:

Thanks guys, it's a Turnbull & Asser cashmere tie. A bit bulky, but it's super soft and drapes well.

It's getting a bit colder in south of France: Let's get dressed!

(the jacket is an old bespoke one from an algerian tailor)

Still trying to get a handle on this sc. Thought the red in the shirt would bring out the check and the green would balance the brown earthy tones.

Forgot the square, which is fine.

RTC, I think that's a little too busy. I would vary the scale of the shirt to the smaller end: say thin pencil stripe in red, microcheck in red/pink or just solid pink. The overall effect from the distance should be something light pink.

RTC:

Nice coat. It's worth the trouble. I always have trouble with those high-contrast shirt stripes. They look good casually, but tend to be a lot of pattern for a tie. I think with no tie, and maybe jeans, the shirt and jacket would be perfect together. Those shoes would be perfect for that, too.

I think a less-vivid shirt (like a red unistripe oxford) and maybe some gray pants could work well here, plus darker shoes (brown suedes!).

Or, maybe a blue shirt, repp tie with some red in there, and reddish cords could be killer.

Cool beans @TweedyProf. I have a couple of pink OCBD's that I could have worn. I'll grab one next time with this jacket. I think the full shot looks better because it resolves to pink. Thanks!

Yes, the distance shot is what I was thinking. Your instincts were good on the shirt, just reduce the scale. I'm ok with Navy trousers here though I agree with YRR on suede, and a deeper brown with navy. But I think you've done some good here. Kudos.

Rainy and gloomy today. Went all casual. Jumper is actually a deep green!
