I've been super busy this week.  I'm a bit behind on my posting.  Here's today's fit.  Prepping for halloween with brown and orange.

Lots of good stuff but I am hesitant because some are just block shots and could look totally different in a full shot. I am sorry.deadhorse-a.gif

I agree with you but am quite happy with what we have right now.

Most photos short of a full body shot have issues.

Block shots of the jacket and pants separately don't really show the whole outfit.
Shots where the person is seated will show if the colours (and possibly textures) of the top and bottom are coherent but don't indicate the fit of the parts (how can you tell if the trousers should be tapered/shortened/lenghtened/etc.? Similarly for the jacket.).

Lighting conditions can also make the fabric look very different to real life and the way people pose can make the fit of the fit look different.

Jerry Nelson, I've liked all your fits. Dont get me wrong. But I just wish I could see the full shots. I get that some just cant for whatever reasons. I am cool. People can do what they want. I am just saying...biggrin.gif

This is from yesterday.  The jacket is new to me from eBay.  Polo triple patch pocket joint with low button stance and quite warm.  I haven't had any work done on it yet, but I may take the waist in and lengthen the sleeves a bit.  Maybe not though.  The shirt is a green bengal stripe.  I probably would have gone with a different pant in hindsight.

Follow him on Tumblr. He posts full shots fairly often.

I think it depends on what the poster is trying to achieve by posting pics of their outfits. If they want fit critique, then obviously it really helps if they post a full shot. If they want to highlight details of their outfit, or colour combinations that they wish to inspire others with &c. then block shots and CUs can be better for that purpose.

Of course, if everyone had the time to post half a dozen photos of their outfits, including a FBS then that would be great. But even assuming we all have the time and setup to do this, photos are not the same as real life, and you can stand certain ways and take photos at certain angles that flatter/don't flatter you. That's why IMO you can't really get too hung up about little details of outfits posted here, although that's almost always what forums are wont to do. Not that the details don't affect the whole, but I think the overall impressions of the outfits in this thread are more important to focus on, getting ideas about what goes well together and what an outfit communicates &c. (at least for me).

Thanks.  I thought of you when I got this jacket.  I'm trying to channel my inner SB.
