Really? Clearly this falls into the category of resort wear, and it's playful. I think lots of people could wear this. Off the top of my head, I could see AAS, southernstyle, SVB, tira pulling off a jacket like this (whether or not they'd want to is another story).

Oh, you may well be right that any of them could pull it off (with the possible exception of AAS whose style, outrageous as it sometimes may seem, is actually rather preppy - as the link you provided recently illustrated), but I still won't like it. That's all I was saying: I think it's a hideous jacket. I understand that in the context of resort wear and such it might make sense, but pretty it aint. At least to my eyes....

re spectre, I think he's walking the talk. Look at the full-fat pics:

Both super sober, but I see nice textures. I agree that a taller collar band would be nicer, but he's clearly not talking out of his ass. All that said, spectre, you draw more flies with honey...

Yup, @spectre 's fits are not bad and I think many here will appreciate it that he has been man enough to actually post his pics. I think quite a few people in his situation would have quietly left the scene - with their tail between their legs. That being said, I would appreciate it even more if he were man enough to admit that those snide remarks and his denigrating generalizations about SF were uncalled for. As his fits show, it's much better to let your pics do the talking. Anyway, I hope we can all leave this episode behind us now and enjoy the variety of fits that are being posted here.

(Actually, seeing the full pics, I think I don't care much for the tie in the first pic, but that's probably just a matter of preference).

Exactly. Somewhere between white linen and Lilly Pulitzer; closer to the latter. There must be a large body of water in close proximity before donning such a jacket.

Oh man I like that suit!! I will gladly overlook the apparent shortness of the shirt collar due to the awesomeness of the suit shoulder. Has the make of this suit already been identified ?

^Spectre's pics show a very refined and subtle beauty of fit, construction, fabric, and color. But ya, the shirt collars do look a bit low,
The collars are cut low and loose intentionally to deemphasize loose neck skin. A higher and/or closer cut collar would not be a wise choice.

How is that? Shall I repost that pic of Karl Lagerfeld again?

sublime colors, kulata. whats up with the crease mid cuff tho, did you have it recuffed for a larger cuff? could use a press i think. /nit

also like teh pose, similar to what i have using lately. :fistbump:

Thanks man. You guys with your eagle eyes. lol. Tailor cuffed the pants and recuffed the pants, she got frustrated with me so she didn't iron it and I was lazy and didn't iron it either. That's my short cuff story

Kulata, superb! Jacket is?

Thanks man. Suitsupply Havana. I changed the buttons to MOP

Kulata,

What's up with the cuffs on your pants?
:(

:foo: :foo:

@kulata
, what shoes are those? Looks like driving shoes or so, do you have a close up?

Yoox brand called naif. Not driving shoes at all, just regular cap toe suede shoes. Will take a closeup next time I wear it

damnee that's good.

Thanks man. Polka dots still make good square patterns :D But I agree with your opinion if it the pattern was stripes

Very nice, especially the color combination. What shoes are those? Sole looks really thin.

Thanks man. Shoes are an Italian brand called Naif. I picked it up for cheap on yoox and they are very comfortable

njt - love all but the square there. i think "tie pattern" squares can work, but not with a similar tie pattern tie. a neat or paisley square pairs best with a solid or striped tie imo.

tchoy, braddock, and pliny, great stuff.

Good eye. I actually went to my wardrobe to check. It's unintentional unbuttoned "sprezz".

Nice look. just i would love to see those who are great at Navy and Brown try more colors. yes, you do it well. and yes, i believe you would do other colors really well.

Spectre's fits???????? just not seeing "Elegant" as an honest critique.

I intentionally disregard the "Rules" (B.S anyway) and jeez, even i can do a full suit more elegantly. (Stitches?,Claghorn?)

And that's from a guy who dresses like this.... (old pics)

This fit was a Lock&co Bowler, Cheap white shirt(Herringbone) ,Sugarcane cinchback Jeans, Frye Boots, and some unknown Braces.vintage Seiko Automatic. just woke up and chose to wear this.

streetwear brands and cm elements worn in a crazy mix. and don't care. i believe it's somehow elegant.

But in fact. Spoo's fit oozed elegance. in a world of it's own. bringing style to the forum.

What i admire about Spoo, is his individuality, his desire to be different. he plays by his own rules.
he cares not for boundaries, and in turn his fits become effortless. the natural Spoo. for the world to see. if only we all were so natural.
