HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014) - Page 399

post #5971 of 7771

That looks a million times better without the jacket, ETB. The sweater's sleeves are too long, and it just looks rather unkempt with the jacket over it.

I have a red crewneck that I'll wear with an OCBD, tweed, and jeans pretty regularly. I think this could work with, say, a dark brown cord or moleskin jacket, or better still, something more casual.

Why, thank you sir!

Slapped together in a mad rush while running late for work. Seems I function best under pressure.

+1 I don't really like a jacket without a shirt collar underneath.

Thredbo on the other hand has nearly as much vertical drop, but features less of the steeps and more of the big sweeping GS-style runs. I suppose you could say that Treble Cone is to Whistler as Thredbo is to Blackcomb. Now all they need is a whopping great gondola strung between the two.

Back to work today though. [sigh]

You have three areas in need of attention:

1)Strap on a dress watch. That thing you're wearing would be better suited for ski togs. (BTW, your holiday sounds fantastic!)

2)Cuff the trousers. (Faux cuffs if short of material.)

3)Break out the edge dressing.

Lord, am I persnickety.shog[1].gif

M&S jacket (from a suit - I will be getting a blazing soon though)
Benetton sweater
Levi's 519s
Vans Rata Vulc
Jacket off (Click to show)
A blue blazer with patch pockets, in linen or hopsack, would dress down much better.

Thanks all. I tend to agree with all of your comments. The jacket doesn't really work, it does need to be something more casual.

Your pooch looks bored with the photo shoot, EFV. tongue.gif

@EFV

Looks boss in that suit. But is that a purple tie?????

...and yes, the doggie needs something to play with

He's easily bored, but on the other hand he's just gotten a walk, so he's pretty content. The tie is blue, but the contrast to the suit may have it looking a bit purple-ish.

@Dc, not feeling that

@EFV, what's the leg opening on those trews? I'm just curious!

post #5983 of 7771
I think it's ~ 8 inches.

From yesterday having drinks with friends on the Sydney Harbour.

Might not be the place to put this, but I took this photograph in Hamilton and as you can see it made it to Mr. Porter. I guess what I'm trying to say is, if there are any narcissistic south western Ontarians looking for photographs, hit me up, son.
