Quite true. And the same can be said for many other tailoring features. It takes knowledge and discipline to reject the cuts and cloth that don't work with your physique and skin tone, particularly when you find them attractive. And the errors made from the sternum on up (the area visible when seated at table or desk) are the most egregious because that is where most observers will be focusing their attention most of the time.

As far as I can tell from that pic, that jacket has classic roped shoulders. But it looks like @jungleroller has sloping shoulders, so his jacket doesn't quite follow his shoulder line and that makes for the faux pagoda look.

The shoulder is spalla cadente morbida (natural). It should settle over time...per gdl203.

A summer wedding a while ago. I insisted on wearing my cream cotton suit, although it would fit a lot better after shedding five pounds (and prior to the wedding dinner and champagnes) shog[1].gif

There's talk of a group buy going on through the Allen Edmonds MTO thread right now for the Eagle County boots. The MTO's for these boots that came out on that thread are some of the most incredible boots I've ever seen including this navy makeup:

Sorry for the mini derail, but I figured someone here might be interested.
