Hmmm... I don't agree, but I do concede that there's something slightly unusual about the jacket's visual balance.

It's not the length, however - jacket hem lines up with top of my trouser inseam, maybe overlaps below it a tad, fully covers my derrière, and is "correct" with respect to my thumb joint.

Actually I think the issue, if any, is in the button positions. I asked for a slightly lower buttoning point on this commission, and I'm very happy with the result. However I feel that consequent to that request, the three buttons have ended up probably all slightly too close together.

If they had been spaced further apart while leaving the middle buttoning point where I specified, the bottom button would have been too low.

My Formosa linen suits exhibit a similar button stance -

- so in this respect, my new Coccinella is in good company. Let's just say I'm not going to be losing any sleep over it.

^ SuSu did a good job with that jacket! I'd like to see a full-length shot if you could possibly organise one. Maybe pull a RoyCru and ask a stranger to take your photo?

You make your cat sign a lease? That's harsh! biggrin.gif

I was joking my friend. You always indicate that others should get their stuff made a bit longer on the bespoke project thread. I thought i'd turn it around. The suit looks good.

Decided to delve further into Ivy and wear more WHITE SOCKS ;)  Here are two outfits that I did with them!

Custom shirt from Natty Shirts, 1930's tie, Southwick Jacket (eBay), 1950's Rayon Pants, Uniqlo Socks, AE Loafers

This one is probably a personal favorite of mine. Shirt from Massimo Dutti, Thrifted tie, Suit Supply Jacket, Thrifted Pleated Pants, Uniqlo Socks, AE penny loafers.

If you guys want to see the inspiration behind these outfits, check out the write up on my blog! Just know that white socks aren't for the faint of heart!  I think they should be used in an ivy or ivy-inspired context.  I'm excited to see what else I can come up with for them!

My local barbershop wanted to take a shot after a trim. So, here's my "Dali-look".

ps. @SprezzaTrash: Hate the white socks - Absolutely love the last look!

@Coxsackie, the suit looks great! I did notice the lower buttoning point before you mentioned it. But I didn't notice them being too close together.

I like the lower buttoning point on you.

@Roycru, I enjoyed your buttoning post. It's timely. A couple of days ago I saw a well dressed guy in his 50s wearing his jacket this way in Toronto.

He was obviously a clothes horse. So I was confused. This may have been his intention... a subtle FU to the style rules police...

That Guncheck pattern is beautiful and works perfectly with those suede shoes and the grey. Keep it up
