Thank you.  There's plenty of them left.  Wait until your next 40% coupon from Brooks Brothers arrives and then go and get one.

I never could figure out their business model. Who actually shops retail there? Regular sales and coupons make it easy to sale shop only. Good stuff there but have to be judicious now. They have lots of low quality stuff in the mix.

@Roycru - I always look forward to your posts. They add a dose of much needed lightheartedness and humor to this thread.

People in the attorney business might (or might not) say something about assuming facts not in evidence.  Pre Allied Stores Brooks Brothers had a business model, which was vertical integration combined with value.

Since then (Allied Stores, Marks & Spencer, Retail Brand Alliance) there has been no apparent business model.  The closest anyone has ever come to figuring out Retail Brand Alliance was when G. Bruce Boyer said the current version of Brooks Brothers is an "Italian Department Store".

I haven't bought very much at Brooks Brothers (or anywhere else) since the Bicentennial (which, for those who don't remember when almost all the fire hydrants in America, and almost everything else was painted red, white, and blue, was in 1976).

I just keep wearing what I bought in the sixties and first half of the seventies.

I remember the Bicentennial quite well although I was only 10 at the time. Brooks is very much an Italian store but in quite a good way.

@Caustic Man , is that KW polo?

@jcmeyer I admire your forbearance, out-dressing 95% of StyleForum and hearing mostly about your height.  I think :foo: got the same treatment, but it was mostly joshing.

In any case, that's a great combination for that jacket.

@Caustic Man new KW suit?  Looks like a nice cut and nice fabric.  I'm adding a navy from him that should arrive next week.

I was in both the Connecticut Ave and Georgetown BB stores this weekend here in DC. Very nice stuff. Not in the market for any new BB suits but the Fall stuff looked quite good. My wife picked up some nice garments, though.

On your mark, get set, #menswear. New camera coming in a few days has a far better auto focus system and is also expected to make the menswearwalk easier to capture in all its stupid awesome glory.

Trying the new Eidos jacket again with light grey SuSu trews. Tie is Vanda silk/linen, shirt is Kamakura, shoes are Carmina snuff.

I do like that jacket on you, but it seems noticeably too long. I don't know about shortening jackets (I've had 38L's shortened 2cm and been happy with it), but going forward, does Eidos have an S in the model?
