@DiplomaticTies and @Coxsackie, the closer one gets to the seaside around here, the more Hawaiian shirts one sees.
In his essay, "Rebel Without A Suit", Richard Press (of J. Press and later F.R Tripler) links Hawaiian shirts to to the invention of Causal Fridays (which led to casual every days).

In my opinion they are on the wider side of the spectrum and I personally wouldn't wear them. You however seem to rock them with ease, so unless the width is bothering you, I don't see the necessity for slimming them down.

I'd say yes. I think your usual trouser cut is perfect. Not slim, but not full. These are too much on the full side. I think full trousers also require a different kind of jacket to match. I'm not sure what kind, but I'm thinking early 1900s style.
